What can you do in 1 minute? Probably finish this passage.

Do you know that while you engage yourself in reading this, this is just about how long it takes to kill a child from diarrhoea in India, just around 5 - 6 hour flight from Hong Kong. The problem is that people are unable to gain access to clean water source, this results in the unevitable spread of fatal infectious disease such as cholera, gastroenteritis, which are potentially curable, and obviously preventable diseases.

Access to clean drinking water in urban slums is sometimes impossible because of the water source being controlled by some parties. However, even if clean drinking water sounces are available, the education level among the slum inhabitants render them not to look for them just because of they do not understand the impoerance.

How can we help?

Some people help by improving the access of clean water and lowering the cost. Some people starts by educating the inhabitants about the importance and the detremental effects of "deadly water".

This winter, NEBO is going to bring YOU to Mumbai, India to sought out some solutions. NEBO seeks to educate the local residents of personal hygiene, improve access to clean water in slums. The primary aim of our trip is to understand more about the situation and help by education and provision of clean water to slum inhabitants together with our local partners.

The proposed dates of the project are December 27th through January 5th. Check it out here!
