NEBOxINDIA (WINTER 2015)
It has always been NEBO’s core value to bring happiness to people in different places since
our establishment. Last year, we had successfully held project in Russia for refugee children.
This winter, we are ready to bring our next project “NEBOxIndia” to India and bring the
message back to Hong Kong.
Water is essential to human beings, when handled improperly, it can be a source of epidemic outbreaks. However, research shows that 1 in 8 individuals worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. Most of these individuals live in large urban slums. Access to clean drinking water in urban slums does not seem to be possible sometimes.
In view of this, we seek to educate the local residents of personal hygiene and improve access to–and reduce the costs of–clean water in slums. The primary aim of our trip is to understand more about the situation and help by education and provision of clean water to slum inhabitants together with our local partners.
